Macy's Downtown Crossing
450 Washington Street
Date Idea, Kid Friendly, Seasonal
Downtown Crossing becomes “Snowflake Crossing” in December with a slate of seasonally inspired programs, hundreds of streetscape decorations and lighting, and live performances throughout the neighborhood from post-Thanksgiving weekend through December 18.
The Downtown Boston Business Improvement District (Boston BID) hosts the events, starting with the installation of winter decorations this week, including the neighborhood’s first seasonal milestone: the Macy’s Holiday Tree lighting on November 12th.
Visitors in November and December can expect bright and colorful lights spanning the main thoroughfares, hundreds of lighted trees, giant hanging snowflakes, and winter-themed plants and landscaping along the streets.
