Convergence Ensemble is pleased to announce our next concert featuring a String Quintet of International Stars, who will perform Mozart, Brahms, and Turina on Sunday May 14th at 7pm. Held in Peabody Hall of All Saints Parish in Ashmont, this event will feature violinists Miguel Pérez-Espejo Cárdenas and Hsin-Lin Tsai, violists Michelle LaCourse and Hye Min Choi, and cellist Hyun Ji Kwon. This lineup is an example of “convergence”, bringing together world-class musicians from Spain, Taiwan, Korea and our long-time favorite performer from the United States, Michelle LaCourse. Featured music includes "Brahms String Quintet in F", and one of the great Mozart "Duos for Violin and Viola" as well as an evocative piece by little-known 20th century Spanish composer Joaquín Turina. Thus we are celebrating Spring with music that offers a luscious variety of styles and encompasses two hundred years of musical history.
