Please join us for a screening of four short films, selections from the Living With Alzheimer's Film Competition. These films capture both the challenges of dementia and the strength and bravery with which we face those challenges. The screening will take place as part of the Cure Alzheimer's Fund 2017 Symposium on Alzheimer's Research.
Following the films, stick around for discussion with authors Lisa Genova (Still Alice, Inside the O'Brien's), Greg O'Brien (On Pluto: Inside the Mind of Alzheimer's), and David Shenk (The Forgetting).
We will be in Rabb Hall, on the lower level of the Boston Public Library's Johnson Building.
Agenda:
“Remember” by Eliot Rausch
“Taller Than the Trees” by Megan Mylan
“Dear Grandpa” by Megan Roesner
“Forgetful Not Forgotten” by Christopher Wynn
(Grand Prize, 2016 Living With Alzheimer’s Film Competition)
Discussion and Q&A with Lisa Genova, author of "Still Alice" and "Inside the O'Brien's", Greg O'Brien, author of "On Pluto: Inside the Mind of Alzheimer's", and David Shenk, author of “The Forgetting”

The Eventbrite page also includes a scientific presentation on Alzheimer's research, which will follow the film festival. You are welcome to stay for both events - please indicate your plans when registering.
This event is brought to you in partnership with Cure Alzheimer's Fund (www.curealz.org), a non-profit organization funding research with the highest probability of preventing, slowing or reversing Alzheimer's disease. The film competition and festival are sponsored by a generous grant from MetLife Foundation. Learn more at www.livingwithalz.org.
