With a style that reveals a deep appreciation for the Great Ladies of jazz, audiences often describe Melody Stanford's performances as "mesmerizing," with a vocal acumen that is "right on the mark," as described by Boston music legend Bo Winiker. Melody grew up singing in church as Pentecostal minister's daughter in the town of Santa Maria, CA. Her passion for jazz solidified while attending college near Chicago. While largely self-taught, her performances are anything but ordinary. Melody is joined by Andy Lantz on piano, Dan Fox on bass, and Miki Matsuki on drums.
