It might feel like every week has four Tuesdays in it right now, but the important thing is it still has one Friday -- and that's today. Reward yourself for making it through another week of quarantine and do your best to replicate that heading-into-the-weekend feeling with The Boston Calendar's Live at Five: Virtual Happy Hour Concert Series. Every Friday at 5 p.m., tune in via Facebook Live or Instagram Live to enjoy a short set of live music from local artists.

This week's live streaming performances are brought to you by two rising stars from the local hip hop and R&B scenes. We'll start things off with Boston Music Awards 2019 nominee for Dance/Electronic Artist of the Year Rilla Force. The artist, producer and DJ blends future bass infused with hip hop, R&B, and electronic music. Then stick around for Brandie Blaze and DJ WhySham, taking over the stream at 5:45 p.m. Hip hop artist and self-proclaimed trap feminist Brandie Blaze released her second LP 'Late Bloomer' in December and was selected for the BMA's 617 Sessions program. She'll be joined by 2019 DJ of the Year nominee DJ WhySham, who has been seen on The Shade Room with Megan Thee Stallion and created the Boston Got Next local artist series.

If you like what you hear, make sure to drop some cash in the artists' virtual tip jars:

You can also support Boston artists by making a donation to the City of Boston's Artist Relief Fund or the Boston Music Makers Relief Fund operated by nonprofit The Record Co.

So pull up the live stream Friday at 5 p.m., order some delivery or takeout from your favorite local spot, and pour yourself a drink -- thanks to the municipal relief bill signed April 3, you can even add beer and wine to takeout orders from bars and restaurants. That’s something to make your happy hour a little happier.

Brandie Blaze is a hip hop artist from Boston, Massachusetts. Inspired by female rappers such as Lil' Kim and Missy Elliot, Blaze's raw lyrics and dynamic stage presence allows her to compete with the boys and rep for the ladies. An activist and self proclaimed trap feminist, her hard hitting bars are how she stands up for herself and Black women everywhere. Starting as a singer as a child, Brandie transitioned to poetry and then rap as it became clear that vocal prowess wasn't her strong suit. Blaze's mission is to celebrate people that identify as women and femmes through the language of hip hop.
