SPEAKER: Ale and Whale Conservation Tales, Raphael Fennimore – Cetacean conservation
Grab a fermented ale of choice as you join us for Zoo New England’s Conservation Lecture Series with May speaker Raphael Fennimore. Each month of this series highlights a different brewery and science or conservation project. The night will begin with a meet and greet with our animal ambassadors and then transition to a short lecture.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Raphael Fennimore is an environmental conservationist, a whale enthusiast, and a general ocean advocate. He loves to travel and enjoys participating in various whale conservation initiatives and ocean technology projects. To date, Raphael has explored museums, libraries and environmental programs and organizations on six continents. He is a graduate student in Marine Observation Technologies, wherein he primarily focuses on research technologies for cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises). He's excited to speak for Zoo New England’s Conservation Lecture Series, but unfortunately is not bringing any actual whales to the event :)
Proceeds from this lecture series support the operation and continued growth of Zoo New England, its education programs and conservation initiatives.
