The Friends of the Lowell Library are hosting their annual book sale from Thursday 6/11 through Saturday 6/13. All proceeds support library programs. Thousands of items at bargain prices - books (hardback $2, paperback $1), cds ($1), dvds ($1) and puzzles. The first hour on 6/11 (Thursday) from 5 pm to 6 pm is a sneak peek for members only - join at the door for as little as $5. Free admission for the remaining time of the activity.
This is a great opportunity for a day trip from Boston as weekend commuter rail pass is only $10. After the sale our visit cool independent shops, check out a museum - we have free passes to 4 museums in walking distance of the library - or grab a drink or a meal at one of our local restaurants or coffee shops.
