'Tis the season for holiday cards - so come print your own! Attendees will learn type composition with real lead letters; proper lead form setup and page layout; how to set up, use and clean a Vandercook proofing press; and how to trim the prints to size. The focus will be on technical skill with an eye for producing a beautiful result. Attendees will also learn some of the history of letterpress printing, the current renaissance in letterpress, and how the instructor came to work with letterpress. All participants will create and take home a set of A-2 holiday cards.
