The revered black and white photographer Alan Schaller brings his exhibit, Metropolis, to Leica Gallery Boston from January 10th to January 27, 2019. A first for Leica Galleries in the US, Metropolis will showcase a selection of photographs that depict Schaller’s representation of how society gets lost in the online world and big city life. Beyond the exhibit itself, the Gallery will host an opening reception with Schaller in attendance on January 10th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., followed by an artist talk on January 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Alan Schaller is a London based photographer whose work can be described as abstract while also incorporating surrealism, geometry, high contrast and the realities and diversities of human life. Schaller’s Metropolis exhibit hones in on how the online and digital world are affecting real life relationships, a topic with high importance to Schaller.
