PART 2: Positioning Your Edtech Product
There is an industry problem, and you believe that you have a new and innovative solution. You’ve done your due diligence in assessing your audience, addressed basic branding questions, but you want to know more about how you can position your startup to enter the market with the biggest bang. Come learn how to assess whether you are friend or foe in the system, what stakeholders are buying your product/service, who's using your product/service, and how to spin your story to the public.
In this session, participants will:


-Explore methods for using branding and audience development to effectively tell your company’s story
-Outline both inbound and outbound marketing strategies that can be used to position your edtech (Including: White papers, social media, direct contact, etc.)
-Design the first steps for effectively positioning your product, as your seek to enter the marketplace
-Explore stories of edtech startups who have been effective in position themselves in the market

About the Facilitator
Mike Matousek, CEO/ Founder, Flashnotes
Mike Matousek is the founder of Boston-based Flashnotes.com, the student-to-student study materials marketplace. He founded the company while a senior at Kent State University in 2010 and later graduated with a degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship. Mike recently closed a Series B round of funding for Flashnotes.com, which empowers smart students to make money from their own study material while helping other students study smarter to get better grades. Mike is passionate about the fact that 46% of today’s college students don’t graduate and is on a mission to help more students succeed.
