This last Late Night celebrates jazz and explores its role in the civil rights movement. At 6 p.m. ET, Larry Tye will discuss his new book The Jazzmen: How Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, and Count Basie Transformed America with Jared Bowen, Executive Arts Editor and Host at GBH. Ron Mahdi and the Rightly Guided Ensemble will perform. The discussion portion of the event will be live streamed beginning at 6:00 p.m ET.
Don’t miss the Ask An Archivist table for a one-night only display of selected items from the collections.
