• ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Alfred started VitalFit Nutrition with his friend Cam Fischer in Babson College's MSEL graduate program. Initially, the duo aimed to create a subscription box program for safe, healthy supplements targeted around customer-specific goals.
But they hit a huge hurdle. They couldn't find enough products that they truly felt confident in! Realizing they were looking at an industry-wide problem, they decided to become the product instead, and revolutionize from the ground up.
VitalFit worked with nutritionists to identify nature's most potent and effective workout recovery ingredients, and identified innovative ways of extracting recovery-specific nutrients without the sugar. From there, VitalFit simply listened to their customers and found more and more problems to solve, and more and more plants and fruits to do it with.
With smart partnerships and supplier decisions, VitalFit has managed to grow quickly with simple, premium branding online in a heavily competitive space, dominated by flashy, cheap packaging and retail distribution.
Alfred is a true bootstrapper, and an amazing entrepreneur to learn from for anyone early in their journey.
