As communities across the country celebrate America's 250th Anniversary, award-winning entrepreneur Andrew Lafuente, Founder & Principal of Lafuente Sign & Awning, is giving back to the city. During the City of Chelsea's Fiesta Fútbol x Freedom celebration on Wednesday, July 1, Lafuente and his team will donate 250 16-by-20-inch American flags, one for each year of the nation's history, to the City of Chelsea for residents attending the event in Chelsea Square ahead of the U.S.A. Men's National Team's match against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The flags will be distributed throughout Chelsea Square made for the perfect photo opportunity, with many handed out to local children and families as they gather to cheer on Team USA, creating a sea of red, white, and blue in honor of the nation's 250th birthday. The donation reflects Lafuente's continued commitment to supporting the local community while encouraging civic pride through a family-friendly celebration centered around soccer, culture, and patriotism.
The community donation comes just weeks after Lafuente Sign & Awning announced the opening of its new headquarters and expanded manufacturing facility in Peabody, nearly doubling the company's operational footprint while allowing it to better serve customers throughout New England. Under Lafuente's leadership, the Massachusetts-based manufacturer has remained committed to investing in local communities, keeping production in-house, and supporting charitable initiatives across the region.
