Ladies Get Paid + European Wax Center Present: Ax the Pink Tax (Boston)

It costs more to be a woman. No joke. It’s called the Pink Tax. Because of it, the average woman is charged an extra $1,351 every year. Just for being a woman. That means by the time we're 30, we've been charged over $40,000 and by the time we're 50, the Pink Tax will have cost us over $65,000. (You can see how much you've been charged here.)

The Pink Tax affects woman throughout their lives: from baby bottles to toys, from personal care products, clothes, dry cleaning, to canes. Women pay more than men 47% of the time for the same products and services. That adds up to an extra $1,351 a year that won’t go toward investments, education or passion projects. $1,351 dollars that women don’t get a say in spending.
