In this program, the King’s Chapel Choir travels back and forth across the English Channel as they explore the point and counterpoint of contemporary composer colleagues Francis Poulencand Benjamin Britten. They both wrote prolifically for chorus, sacred as well and secular pieces, and shared a fascination with the folksong traditions of their respective countries. We will aim to illustrate both their similarities and differences. Heinrich Christensen conducts. Discounted parking is available at One Beacon Garage with tickets validated by King's Chapel.
