These workshops are taught by a local Cambridge couple, who regularly cook with their 4.5 year old. One half of the couple is an Argentine chef, trained at Gato Dumas in Buenos Aires.
The space at Cambridge Center for Adult Education is T-accessible and the building and kitchen are accessible.
About the workshop:
Join our kids cooking workshop and have fun while learning how to cook.
Our cooking workshop is designed for kids who want discover new tastes, learn how to make real dishes and bake delicious desserts.
Each day includes the following activities:
2 cooking sessions: one to prepare a full dish using fresh ingredients, which they eat for lunch, and one to bake a dessert which they enjoy for an afternoon snack.
Age: 6 to 12 - we strongly believe in the idea that children help and learn from each other.

What is the daily schedule? Each day has 2 cooking sessions: one for cooking, one for baking.
What do they do when they don't cook? Our day also includes a warm-up /break the ice session, outside in the morning, a lunch break during which children eat what they cooked in the morning session, and a snack time with a recess, where they eat the dessert in the afternoon. Children will also work on their recipe book and do some mindfulness activities throughout the day.
What is the teacher/camper ratio?
1 cooking teacher for up to 8 kids.
How many kids attend the workshop
16 is the maximum number of kids per workshop.
Can you handle allergies and food restrictions? Please fill out the allergy section when you register. We can accommodate seed/nut allergies and vegetarian diets. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate vegan diet for the moment. Our space is a shared kitchen. When a kitchen is shared, it's very difficult to guarantee that there will be no exposure to allergens, even with the strictest precautions.
