Kelly Donovan & Dancers Audition

Kelley Donovan & Dancers and Boston Moving Arts Productions seeking seven dancers for Winter 2018 project to be performed in Cambridge March 16-17th. Please send a resume and a description of your experience to [email protected], Paid rehearsals and performances.

Applicants should have strong technique in ballet and modern and the ability to pick up movement quickly and execute it with precision. The work will be created utilizing a very collaborative process. Our movement vocabulary involves a very sequential use of the torso with abrupt energy changes, isolation and weight shifts.

Rehearsals will be twice a week on Fridays 3-6pm and Sundays 3-5pm at The Dance Complex. Applicants would have to be able attend all rehearsals. No Exceptions, Rehearsal pay is $20/hour including tech and dress rehearsal. Performance pay is $50 per performance for two performances. Must attend a Dress and Tech Rehearsal on Thursday March 15th.

“Community” is a meditative modern dance piece of precise and unified movement. Establishing a visceral connection with your fellow movement artists, a binding unity is created. Set to Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, this 8 minute piece is one of six that will be created by Boston Moving Arts Productions, for an evening-length performance investigating various facets of the individual's relationship with community.
