On June 19th, 1865 news of the emancipation and the end of Civil War finally reached the last group of enslaved people, and even then not all slaves were freed. 155 years later and we are still fighting to be heard, valued, and respected in this country. The Boston Latin Academy BSU and Young Alumni Network cordially invites you to join us for a day of fun, networking, and unity in the park. Juneteenth is OUR Independence Day; this is a celebration of Black excellence, NOT a protest!
