The Jewish Arts Collaborative (JArts) this coming week launches a new series of live arts experiences, JLive, featuring local artists, performers, and chefs/food experts. The series offers virtual studio tours with well-known artists, musical performances, cooking and food demonstrations, and conversations with each, including, in some programs, the ability for virtual audience members to ask questions via chat.
JLive Music kicks off the series on Tuesday, May 5 at 7pm, when internationally-renowned vocalist/composer/arranger Anthony Russell will share songs and stories about his journey from modern opera to traditional Yiddish from his home. He’ll also talk about his project, Convergence, which highlights shared themes between Yiddish songs and African-American spirituals.
Event is free, but registration is required https://jartsboston.org/event/jlive-music/
