A concert set & themed jam featuring Jerry Bergonzi and Andy Voelker, two of Boston’s most creative, dynamic saxophonists. Jazz Times hails Bergonzi’s “rich, resonant Coltrane-esque sound.” He has performed in Dave Brubeck’s band and with other jazz icons, and mentored students for over 30 years at NEC. Andy hosts jams at the Monkfish and co-leads the band Clear Audience. The evening revolves around contrafacts – new, original melodies, imaginative and often intricate, built over and transforming jazz standards.


Jazz Sundays at The Square Root brings together Boston’s best jazz artists in an intimate restaurant setting for performances and themed jams.


Cover $10-20 at the door pays the musicians.
