When our energy channels are blocked, we feel stagnant and out of sorts; releasing stored tension, we experience a profound connection with life. Thai Yoga Massage draws from an ancient tradition that has been used by the peoples of Thailand for removing blocks in the human energetic system. With a conscious touch the Thai Yoga practitioner combines gentle stretching and joint manipulations, assisted yoga postures, and skillful finger and hand pressure to open the major energy pathways of the body with the goal of enhancing the flow of Pranic life force in the body/mind.
Thai Yoga Massage relieves muscular tension and pain, improves circulation, boosts the immune system, and balances the body energetically, facilitating mind-body integration. It is done clothed and on the floor. In this workshop, the basic principles and practices of Thai Yoga Massage will be introduced, and a simple sequence that addresses all parts of the body, including neck and head, will be taught. If you do not come with someone, we will assign a partner to you. Come prepared to give and receive total relaxation and enjoyment!!
