In Japan, research has emerged since the 1980s on the health benefits of spending time immersed in nature, known as shinrin-yoku or “forest bathing.” Through a combination of indoor learning and an outdoor guided experience, you'll explore the science behind its benefits and learn to slow down, engage your senses, and connect with the natural world. In the first class we will unpack the science behind forest bathing in a CCAE classroom. In the second class we will meet offsite to experience a forest bath.
