Also known as pick and pluck, this introductory class prepares you for ukulele ensemble. Learn to read tablature to play melodic riffs, instrumental interludes, accompaniments, and transcriptions. It runs five consecutive Wednesday evenings from January 15, 2020.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
After earning her MA in Music with research on the ukulele and participative music making, Anne Ku has been developing new curriculum for all ages thereby authoring a new book for the complete beginner. Previously in Hawaii, she taught world music, music theory, music history, and class piano for which she arranged famous pieces for all levels to play together like an ensemble.

WHAT PREVIOUS STUDENTS SAID
Anne is an excellent teacher, friendly and patient. I enjoyed the class and learned a lot. Had only done some strumming before, so beginning to learn some finger style is valuable and expands playing options. She provided a lot of course materials and homework/practice assignments- good for the motivated adult learner.
