D3.js is a powerful Javascript library used to create both static and interactive data visualizations. Developed and made popular by Mike Bostock, a computer scientist and former graphics editor for The New York Times, D3.js is widely considered the premier Javascript library for visualizing information on the web.


In this class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of D3.js, including some helpful hints for working with large datasets that are often underlying D3 visualizations. Using that knowledge, together we’ll build several static and interactive charts and graphics.
