Welcome the change of seasons by making a custom shade for a mini cordless light. In this workshop, you will use the Chigiri-e technique of tearing and layering Washi (Japanese paper) to decorate your light with simple autumn motifs like falling leaves or harvest colors. We will work with the natural translucency of the paper to create a soft, diffused glow. Join us for a quiet, tactile session to create a unique piece for your home as the evenings begin to cool. A $50 materials fee per student is included in the tuition. Instructor: Chihiro Sato
