We are pleased to offer a new workshop as part of our HEIST | BE A MAKER series, now housed in our new space on Charles St. The series was launched to provide an opportunity to bring together local artists, makers and designers with the people interested in learning their craft.
In this workshop we will be learning the traditional Japanese art of boro repair with south end artist Sophie Truong, of STITCH + TICKLE. Boro repair involves old + new fabrics combined through long running stitches; super fun, super fashionable... and no experience necessary! You'll have the coolest (and handcrafted) items around!
Happening on Wednesday September 13 from 7-9pm, this craft adds new life to old items. Bring a pair of jeans, a canvas bag, anything that needs the magical touch of boro.
Registration is $65.00 and includes materials along with sips + nibbles. We always have a complete blast; aside from learning a new skill you also get to connect with other creatives!!
