Join The Capital Network, Global Scale-up & Health Holland aboard the historic Clipper ship ‘Stad Amsterdam’ a beautiful ship docked on Fan Pier at the Seaport in Boston! This will be an event featuring entrepreneurs and investors in the life science and health fields and give them the opportunity to connect and hear companies from Europe pitch local investors – Shark Tank Style!


2:45-5:00pm: Shark Tank! 6-8 European Health & Life Science startups will get the chance to pitch a panel of Boston investors to get feedback on their companies and pitches.


5:00-7:30pm Food & networking with investors in the Health and Life Science space. The entire
program will be held aboard the historic ship Stad Amsterdam, Fan Pier, Boston, 1 Marina Park Drive, MA 02210 – walk towards the water where the ship is docked.


The Judges:


JEAN MARIE VALLET – ANGEL INVESTOR AT LAUNCHPAD VENTURE GROUP


Jean-Marie Vallet is an entrepreneur and active angel investor in the Boston area. He has particular expertise in sectors such as Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Medical Devices, Instrumentation, and has experience working with the international market (US, Germany, Switzerland, France) in large and small companies. With over 30 years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry, he invests as an individual angel and also as a member of Launchpad Venture Group.


TATYANA ABYZOV – DUE DILIGENCE LEAD AT SHIRE


Tatyana Abyzov is the Due Diligence & Integration Lead at Shire and has 20 years of strategic and operational experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Tatyana is a member of the Board of Directors of Suono Bio, a startup spun out of the MIT lab of Prof. Robert Langer and is member of Sky Ventures, an early stage fund focused on life science. Tatyana was previously Director of Alliance Management at Sanofi and spent 14 years at Genzyme.


ORHAN GAZELLE – VC AT SCHOONER CAPITAL


Orhan Gazelle is an VC at Schooner Capital, a Boston-based private investment firm engaged in venture capital, growth equity, public securities and alternative assets. Schooner is focused on both new venture and growth stage opportunities, as well as supporting portfolio companies.


RAZA SHAIKH – ANGEL INVESTOR AT SKY VENTURES


Raza Shaikh is an entrepreneur and active angel investor in the Boston area. He invests as an individual angel and as part of Sky Ventures, a Boston-based investment group that provides funding to early-stage life science and healthcare companies. Raza’s expertise include the range from software, robotics, life science, mobility and ML/AI. Raza is also as a member of Launchpad Venture Group.


The Global Scale-up Program is a mentoring program and investment roadshow that helps innovative Life Sciences & Medtech companies to push their global business strategy to market launch. The program combines in-depth training and mentoring by the best serial entrepreneurs, marketing experts, and investors from the United States and different European countries.
