Are you a beekeeper who would like to explore different management options, improve your colonies, get help with your trickiest problems, and/or engage with other like-minded beekeepers? This course is for beekeepers who want to expand their knowledge and get past feeling like a beginner year after year. We will cover swarm management, splits, overwintering hives, pest and disease treatment and prevention, and other tricks of the trade. Participants will be able to identify their colony’s needs, have the skills to meet those needs, and develop a sustainable apiary. This course is for beekeepers who have completed an introductory beekeeping course, have a basic understanding of bee biology and management, and have maintained a hive for at least a season.

Open to adults and children/teens age 12 or older with an adult. Fees apply to all participants.

This is the first of a 5 class series, please see website for more information.
