Instant Shawarma is a local grungy blues/rock band straight out of Central Square. Their music is all original, but has been compared to: The Black Keys, early Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, and Silverchair. The band formed in March of 2015. In May of 2016, the band released their debut EP, "Just Add Water," which can be found at InstantShawarma.Bandcamp.com, or in hard copy at any show. Instant Shawarma frequently plays local shows in Boston, Cambridge and Somerville. Their music is usually played with electric guitars, but translates well to acoustic for smaller, quieter settings.
