Feldenkrais in Jamaica Plain is excited to announce a new hybrid offering! We'll explore a classic Awareness Through Movement lesson in an in-person workshop in JP on Satuday March 26th followed by a repetition and deepening of the material during a four week online series. You are welcome to join us in-person, online, or both!
Come take a deep dive into the quintessential, generative, and life-sustaining Feldenkrais lesson: The Pelvic Clock! Whether you are looking to reduce pain, improve mobility and stability, enhance performance, or spark spontaneity - this lesson has something for most everyone. All levels of movement ability or physical condition are welcome.
Awareness Through Movement lessons aim to make you aware of your habitual patterns of movement and to expand options for new ways of moving while increasing sensitivity, comfort, and ease. By paying attention to the details of how you perform an action, you have an opportunity to “learn how to learn,” as well as learn how to:
attend to your whole self while moving
reduce unnecessary energy output
mobilize your intentions into actions
bring your nervous system into balance
In-Person Workshop:
Date: Saturday, March 26th
Time: 11:00am - 1:30pm
Location: First Church in Jamaica Plain (6 Eliot Street)
All participants must be fully vaccinated + boosted, show proof of vaccination status, and wear a mask for the entire duration of the workshop.
Minimum 6 participants; Maximum 25 participants. Registration closes on 3/25.
Online 4 Week Mini-Series:
Mondays at 7:00pm and/or Wednesdays at 10:00am EST
March 28th - April 27th (no class on April 18/20)
Save $25 if you register for both the workshop and mini-series! All classes and discussions are recorded and made available to participants for streaming or optional download.
