Come celebrate the folk artistry of residents who transform their houses and yards with lights, illuminated ornaments, and shrines of devotion and fantasy.


45 minute Trolley Tours leave from (and return to) Somerville High School Field House (81 Highland Ave.) {This is a new location this year, which is located between the Central Library and the High School.} Coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies will be served. In addition, craft activities for children and the Somerville Community Chorus will perform.


Tickets go on sale Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Blue Cloud Gallery in Ball Square (713 Broadway).


Each year the tour changes, so do not expect the 2017 tour to be the 2018 tour.


Trolley tour times are the following:
4:30, 5:00, 5:45, 6:15, 7:00, 7:30, 8:15, 8:45. 9:15


We have 4 and 5 trolleys running concurrently for EACH tour time. Each trolley ticket is sold as "4:30 A" "4:30 B" etc. If you plan to buy tickets for a specific trolley be sure to note which specific trolley, i.e. A, B, C, etc.


This is a fundraiser for the Arts Council and tickets are sold for:


Adults: $15
Children 12 and under/Seniors 62 and older: $8
Cash or Check only (made out to "Somerville Arts Council")


Tickets are only sold at Blue Cloud Gallery in Ball Square (713 Broadway), who volunteers this service. Cash or Check only


If a City "snow emergency" has been called, the event will take place on Sunday, December 16th. Only if an official "emergency."

If you wish to purchase a map of tour they will be available for $3 the evening of the tour at the Fieldhouse, or Monday, the 17th at Porter Square Books, Blue Cloud Gallery, and Davis Squared. We also have greeting cards and Illumination books.
