In recent months, local and state leaders in more than 25 states have declared racism a public health threat; the City of Boston proclaimed this summer that “racism constitutes an emergency and public health crisis.” This public event, moderated by the Boston Globe’s Jeneé Osterheldt, is the second ICA Forum to bring together voices from the arts, government, and public health to explore this urgent topic, now in the context of two pandemics: racism and COVID-19.

Panelists include:

– Jeneé Osterheldt, Culture Columnist, The Boston Globe
– Dr. Karilyn Crockett, Chief of Equity, City of Boston
– Bill T Jones, Choreographer; Artistic Director, New York Live Arts; Co-Founder, Bill T Jones Arnie Zane Dance Company
– Dr. Kimberlyn Leary, Associate Professor, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health; Associate Professor, Harvard Medical School/McLean Hospital; Lecturer, Harvard Kennedy School
– OJ Slaughter, Artist
– Amanda Taffy, Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) student, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health
