Acoustic double-neck guitarist and Candyrat recording artist Ian Ethan Case is quickly becoming recognized as “one of the most creative and engaging fingerstyle guitarists in the world” (International Center for Creativity). He performs in Boston on Sunday, Dec. 3rd at The Rockwell (5pm) with his new Earth Suite Orchestra, in celebration of his latest album “Earth Suite”. The album and the concert both feature 4-time GRAMMY Award winner Eugene Friesen (cello), Israeli-Brazilian flute master Amir Milstein, Berklee College of Music professor Bertram Lehmann (percussion), and recent Berklee College of Music graduate Daniel Feldman (percussion).
Case’s forthcoming “Earth Suite” album features nearly a dozen musicians from all over the globe, along with live looping and sound specialist Stephanie Case who records, layers, and manipulates the musicians’ acoustic instruments on the spot for a dynamic, truly symphonic effect. The concert in Boston is one of only three concerts in 2017 to feature this expanded lineup of musicians.
Admission to the concert is $15 in advance, $20 at the door. The Rockwell is located 255 Elm Street, Somerville, Massachusetts 02144.
