Join us for I Line: Structured Figure Drawing, a dynamic figure drawing class at Still Life Studios focused on developing speed, precision, and visual vocabulary through live model practice. Each 2-hour session includes targeted warm-ups, guided exercises, and timed poses designed to sharpen hand-eye coordination and build muscle memory. Weekly themes like gesture, structure, anatomy, and proportion help you improve steadily, no matter your experience level.


Expect a relaxed but focused atmosphere, thoughtful instruction, and a rotating series of live poses—from quick gestures to longer studies. Whether you're a beginner or a working artist, you’ll leave each class with a stack of drawings, a stronger visual vocabulary, and new tools to improve your figure work with confidence.


We begin each session with a short talk on the day's focus. We'll go through a series of warm ups and stretches before getting into the first half of poses. This first half will range from 30 second poses to 2 minutes. After a 15 minute intermission we'll move on to the longer poses to close it out the second half.
