The Hull Artists OPEN STUDIOS TOUR has been a fixture on Boston’s South Shore art scene for more than 20 years. It is the signature event of the Hull Artists, a collaborative, nonprofit group of more than 90 local artists. During the two weekends in 2018 (July 7-8, August 18-19), there will be 40 artists represented at about 30 homes and studios.


Members of Hull Artists look forward every year to opening up their homes and sharing their enthusiasm for their art with the public. All venues are free, and each artist has a wide selection of art for sale. (Many, but not all, artists can accept credit cards, so come prepared.) There is a variety of art media represented including fine (painted) art, photography, jewelry, ceramics, fabrics, and mixed media.


A map and guide to the Tour is available online (after mid-May) at HullArtists.com. The brochure (with map) is also available throughout the Town of Hull, including the Hull Artists’ cooperative Gallery Nantasket, located at 121 Nantasket Avenue. Many Tour visitors begin their visit at the Gallery where they can see work by many of the artists on the Tour. Plan to spend at least a half-day to visit all the venues and have lunch or dinner at any of Hull’s many restaurants.
