Let's talk about upgrading our city for entrepreneurs and citizens — regardless of whether it's chosen for Amazon's HQ2 Scott Kirsner (InnoLead, Boston Globe columnist), Jody Rose (NEVCA), and Chris Dempsey (Transportation 4 MA) are leading this collaborative workshop.
Whether or not Amazon chooses Boston for its HQ2, Bostonians want their city to work better for everyone who lives here. We want a #HQBoston, a higher-quality city across many dimensions: affordability, transportation, diversity and opportunity, health and fitness, strong communities and neighborhoods, safety, public art and entertainment districts, energy and sustainability, and so on. Creating a #HQBoston may also involve attracting other types of employers, or provide better support to startups and small businesses that want to grow here.
Join us on February 8th for an intense and collaborative workshop that will aim to spell out, through small group conversations, what our ambitions are over the next decade for an #HQBoston. This event is open to anyone who wants to be part of a constructive dialogue (this is not intended to be a pro-Amazon rally or anti-Amazon gripefest)… We are especially eager to have artists, photographers, videographers, and other chroniclers participate and share the outcomes in the medium of their choice.
