ABOUT THE PUBLICATION:
How to Smash Garlic and the Patriarchy is a collaborative publication between GRLSQUASH and Overseasoned dreamed up over coffee and a shared mission to shout from the rooftops about all the amazing womxn in the Boston food + beverage scene. How to Smash is filled to the brim with the who, what, when, where (and wear), + why (but do we really need to tell you why?) of Boston womxn smashing garlic + the patriarchy. Inside you’ll find a recipe for Your Very Own Feminist Cake, a jam-packed Day in the Life of the founder of a womxn’s food organization that’ll leave you wondering if she’s found the secret to time travel, a map for where to smash the patriarchy in Boston’s restaurants, retail, and other food-centric spaces, and more. We can’t wait to share this truly smashing publication with you!
ABOUT TANÁM:
While Tanám focuses on Filipino American cuisine and craft cocktails, our priority is encouraging connection and dialogue. We weave coursed dining into our narratives, often collaborating with artists to present stories that don't often get told, shared by the people who live those stories. All the while, racial equity, labor justice, and environmental justice guide our decisions as a QPOC-majority owned worker-cooperative.
ABOUT REBEL REBEL:
Rebel Rebel is a no-rules natural wine bar in Somerville's Bow Market. We give a fuck (about wine and about you). We believe a wine bar can be a place for the community to engage, grow, and communicate. We also believe in the power of natural wine to bring us back to the foundations of our connection to farmers, to women, and to the planet. Think that sounds like a bunch of woo-woo bullshit? Come hang out and let us show you what we do.
