Join us for public conversation to explore how genetic technology can be used to mitigate and adapt to climate change. 

Moderated by Boston Globe journalist David Abel, the conversation will feature Andrew Revkin, award-winning environment journalist formerly with the New York Times; Melissa Hoffer, Massachusetts State Climate Chief; Sir Richard Roberts, Nobel laureate and Chief Science Officer at New England Biolabs; and Teal Brown Zimring, Executive Director of Lab to Land. The panel will discuss:

• Why do we need new technologies for climate mitigation and adaptation? 
• What technologies are being developed?
• How do we responsibly question, evaluate impacts, and make decisions about the development and implementation of emerging technologies with climate applications? 
• What is needed to build-out public participation and consent processes?
