Come celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season at Swing City!
It's our special time of the year where we will have a potluck. It's a bit earlier than usually as we are celebrating the week before Thanksgiving so come and enjoy some amazing treats and bring some to share or just come to dance.
Please join us for a fun night of dancing with Dan Gabel and the Abletones who specialize in the music of the 1930s and 40s and the sights and sounds of the era when swing music was king, and boosted the morale of the nation during the Second World War. Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Count Basie, Les Brown, Vaughn Monroe, Harry James, and many others are included in this salute to great music. A free introductory swing lesson is offered at 8pm and the dance starts at 9pm.
You'll also be treated with free popcorn and if you're lucky, we'll bring out our cotton candy machine and make one to your order. The dance hall is air conditioned, has a beautiful surfaced wood dance floor and a stage that acoustically makes the band sound that much better. It's one of the bets venues in town.
Admission is $19 general and $15 with a valid student ID.
