Join our Strength and Stretch Holiday Party for one last fitness event in 2022! Fitness is all about consistency and taking steps to improve each day.
We will learn strengthening exercises, stretch in chair yoga, and enjoy a social with light snacks and games. Classes will be taught by Jay and Whitney and friendly for all abilities and levels for people over age 50. This will be an indoor event with plenty of space and ventilation. Everyone is encouraged to wear pajamas or holiday wear!
At Strength & Stretch Holiday Party, there will be...
▪ Guided gentle upper/lower body exercises and core strengthening sessions
▪ Social and games with community of older adults in Boston
▪ Light snacks and refreshments after the classes

1:30pm - 2:00pm / Registration & Opening Ceremony
2:00pm - 2:30pm / Chair Yoga Class with Whitney

3:15pm - 4:45pm / Social w/ Snacks, Beverages, and Games

What do I need to bring?
You will need to bring exercise shoes, a water bottle, and a great attitude! This event is for older adults who are 50+.
What is this class like?
This event has two gentle exercise classes in an indoor space setting where instructors will be able to help with movements. There will be a social with some games and fun as well!
Where does the cost of the ticket go?
The cost of the ticket goes towards running the event - light snacks, drinks, space - decor, etc but if anyone needs help with the cost of the ticket, we can help!
Will the equipment be cleaned?
Yes! All of our exercise equipment is sanitized before and after use in class.
What are the masking rules?
Face coverings indoors are optional indoors as per guidance from the City of Boston, and they are recommended for people who are not vaccinated. Indoor capacity will be limited. We will continue to follow the official rules and guidelines if they change.
Do I need a background in fitness or exercising?
Nope! We don't expect attendees to have a background in any area of fitness. However, some experience being active will be very helpful.
