We'll be hiking to Mount Pierce and Eisenhower which are part of the Presidential Range. Both mountains offer 360 views of the Presidential Mountains, Mount Tom, Field, Willey, and Crawford Notch. Mount Pierce is 4,320 ft. and Mount Eisenhower is 4,780 ft. We'll start on Crawford path leading to the summit to Mount Pierce, then continue on towards the Mount Eisenhower to the summit and hike back down the same way to Pierce and back to the trailhead at the Highland Center.
Distance: 9.5 miles
Elevation gain: 3,100 ft.
Difficulty: 5/10. Gradual elevation gain on this hike on the Crawford Path towards Mizpah Hut. After Mizpah Hut, the trail gets very steep up to Pierce with some mild scrambling. The ridge after Pierce is also gradual until you start the climb up Eisenhower where it'll be steep to the summit. The descent will be gradual on the Crawford Path. You'll be exposed once you get to Pierce.
I will conduct a gear check at the carpool pickup location and at the trailhead if you're a NCP. It is your responsibility to get all of the gear listed below and make sure it works prior to the hike. This is to ensure you're able to do this hike safely. I reserve the right to turn people away of they're not prepared for the hike. This is for your and everyone else's safety.
What to bring for hiking:
Insulated boots
Non-cotton layers
Hat
Gloves
Microspikes
Snowshoes (depending on trail conditions)
Extra socks
2-3 liters of water (insulated)
Snacks and lunch
First aid kit
