Hike Mount Pierce and Eisenhower

We'll be hiking to Mount Pierce and Eisenhower, which are part of the Presidential Range. Both mountains offer 360 views of the Presidential Mountains and surrounding peaks. Mount Pierce is 4,320 ft, while Eisenhower is 4,780 ft. We'll start on Crawford path leading to the summit to Mount Pierce, then continue on towards the Mount Eisenhower loop to the summit and hike back down the same way. The total hike will be 10 miles out-and-back.

Previous 4,000 footer or equivalent experience is required for this hike

There will be a gear check for this hike at the pick up location and at the trailhead if you're a non-carpooler. If you don't have the gear, you will not be allowed to join the hike. No exceptions!

What to bring:

Waterproof, winter-hiking boots

Snowshoes (I will confirm this depending on the trail conditions)

Microspikes

Gaiters

Water-resistant or waterproof pants. Thermal layer if necessary.

Non-cotton base layer (preferable wool or synthetic).

Non-cotton, breathable mid-layer

Water-resistant or waterproof hard/soft shell jacket

Hat

Gloves

Headlamp (in case we hike into the night with the early sunsets)

2-3 liters of water that won't freeze. (Insulated water bottle or other method)

Snacks and lunch. You will be burning a lot of energy!
