Saturday is looking like a solid hiking day at 72 degrees and half sun half clouds! We'll be hiking Mt Cardigan and connecting along the ridgeline to Firescrew with an elevation gain of 1541 feet over 4.2 miles.


We'll be hiking at a moderate pace, with multiple stops along the way to catch views and forest bathe. We'll also take a 1+ hr lunch break at the main summit to enjoy ourselves and take in the sights. This is where we can lounge out and soak in some much needed quiet time in nature.


If you are looking to go fast, not take your time enjoying the scenery, or go off on your own, this is not the hike for you!


Though we won't be trail running, you should understand that this gets steep in parts and there is a bit of scrambling to do. Hiking footwear with good traction is required for this trip.


You need to be able to hike around 1.5 miles/hr. Please make sure you can do it, as it won't make sense to keep the whole group back for the day for one person and we will have to split up. Do not sign up if you can't handle this one.
