In 19th century Istanbul, Ottoman-Armenian musician Hampartsoum developed a new music notation system, with which numerous works were documented and survived to this day. Many have been transcribed from the manuscripts, however still many are waiting to be unveiled. In this concert, a selection of works from these manuscripts will be performed, some for the first time after many years, upon their recent study and transcription.
