Pianist/vocalist Daniela Schachter, a winner of the Mary Lou Williams Jazz Piano competition and many other prestigious awards, pays homage to Jimmy VanHeusen a much-honored songwriter best known for his Great American Songbook standards like "All the Way", "Darn That Dream", "Here's That Rainy Day" and "Come Fly With Me".
Downbeat's Simon Scott praised Schachter's 2016 recording, "VanHeusen: A Tribute to Jimmy Van Heusen" as a worthy tribute from one great artist to another. Schachter's band features saxophonist Mike Tucker, bassist, Michael O'Brien nd drummer Mark Walker.
