In the aftermath of Hurricane María, Puerto Rico’s economic situation is more dire than ever before. Actor and director, Angel Vázquez, explores the history and magic of the island in a powerful monologue developed by Puerto Rican students from a variety of backgrounds and social classes. These students concerned themselves with emigration, poor economic conditions, and what it means to be puertorriqueño in order to produce work that could educate and entertain. Meant to inspire audiences to search for solutions, this one-man show utilizes humor and personal anecdotes to celebrate Puerto Rico’s rich culture.

Show your support for the island by learning something new about its history!
