Join us at Inclusive Tech Lab Boston to hear the story of how #BlackTechTwitter started -- and what it means to be a community leader -- from #BlackTechTwitter founder Pariss Athena! You can RSVP here: https://www.meetup.com/Inclusive-Tech-Lab/events/263598348/.

Learn more about #BlackTechTwitter here: https://twitter.com/hashtag/blacktechtwitter?lang=en.

Pariss is a Front End Developer who brought together an entire community through one tweet on Twitter. "What does Black Twitter in technology look like? Here, I'll go first." Through that tweet catching fire, she created the hashtag #BlackTechTwitter, a movement bringing awareness to the Black community in the technology industry. Pariss is also Founder of Black Tech Pipeline, a platform bringing information and opportunity to #BlackTechTwitter members and supporters.

While this event is free of charge, Inclusive Tech Lab encourages online donations at each of our events to a featured Boston area non-profit. During this event, we'll be encouraging donations to Resilient Coders, a nonprofit coding bootcamp that trains people of color from low income communities for high-growth careers as software engineers. You can read about them here: http://www.resilientcoders.org/. If you can't make our event and would still like to donate to Resilient Coders, you can do so here: https://www.paypal.me/resilientcoders . (No cash or check donations at the event, please.)

**Please note that photos for social media will be taken at this event. When you arrive, we will provide color-coded stickers that you can wear if you do not wish to have your photo taken.**
