Healing of Art

The “Healing of Art” reflects the four realms the artists explore in this exhibition: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. They work in a wide range of media and approaches including paint, sculpture materials, mixed media, and encaustic. Their intention is to connect us together, to harness the reparative power of making and viewing art. 

As artists, we work in solitude creating from the ego, mind, soul, spirit, and subconscious. In constructing our work, we react personally to our surroundings, global events, climate and landscape, social and political issues and the effect on us as individuals and our communities. The process of making an artwork provides the safe, meditative space to help heal, reflect on and process trauma or to find balance. As the viewer connects with their own stories and challenges, their healing and repair is amplified.
