Hatchlings: Frosty Friday!

Enjoy a winter lights display, called Hatchlings, which will see installations on the Charles River Esplanade and throughout The Rose Kennedy Greenway, in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation (DCR) and the Greenway, from November 2023 through February 2024. Enjoy 3 evenings of FREE hot cocoa, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities while enjoying the 100% solar, color light displays!

🎶  Highlights of the Evening:

• A mesmerizing holiday music performance by a quartet of handbell players from the Back Bay Ringers.
• Complimentary hot cocoa to warm your spirits and sweeten the festivities.

🌟  About Hatchlings: The Esplanade Association is proud to present Hatchlings, a winter lights display that will illuminate the Charles River Esplanade and The Rose Kennedy Greenway from November 2023 through February 2024. This 100% solar-powered installation, brought to life by the creative minds at Studio HHH, whimsically imagines what would happen if the iconic Hatch Shell hatched a cluster of baby "shells" that embarked on a delightful adventure down The Greenway. These nine miniature Hatch Shells, affectionately known as the Hatchlings, will dot The Greenway and the Esplanade, each adorned with vibrant arches in colorful animated lights. It's a playful celebration of Boston's landmarks and a nod to a brighter, more environmentally sustainable future.
