An evening of music, storytelling, and spoken word presentations including selections from the 2023 Douglass musical American Prophet – featuring performers Paul Oakley Stovall (Hamilton), Nikhil Saboo (Dear Evan Hansen), and Yassmin Alers (In the Heights). They will be joined by Douglass and Booker T. Washington descendants Nicole Morris (Les Misérables), Nettie Washington Douglass and Kenneth B. Morris of the Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives, Inaugural Poet Laureate of Massachusetts Regie Gibson, and Douglass scholar Dr. Noelle Trent, President & CEO, Museum of African American History I Boston & Nantucket. A suggested donation of $20 will support #DouglassWeek programming.
